This isn’t necessarily free, but it does sound like a useful tool for folks looking to raise money for their organization or cause. Here’s the description, in case you find it helpful, in the form of an email I just received from their director.
Introducing Foundation Source Access, an online philanthropy network that helps your organization raise funds from private foundations easily and cost effectively. Access is a new service from Foundation Source, the nation’s leading provider of support services to private foundations. Nearly 1000 foundations already use the Foundation Source Online website to research nonprofits and to make grants.
Now, for the first time, you can build profiles for your fundraising projects that can be seen by hundreds of major foundation donors. Profiles are colorful and informative, often including photos, videos, documents, links and up-to-the-minute news in a dynamic format. And they are organized around the world’s most important causes and urgent needs. It’s like a single application that will be read by hundreds of donors!
We are sure you already appreciate that private foundations are private (almost by definition). It’s been difficult to find foundations that fund your type of charitable work. Yet at the same time, we’ve discovered that foundation donors who aim for more impact and a greater good often have a difficult time finding nonprofits that closely match their interests and resources. Access provides the introductions that help foundations fulfill their missions, and it helps nonprofits find new donors.
Please register your organization at access.foundationsource.com. It costs nothing to create a profile for your organization. Add as many fundraising projects as you like to the Project directory – listings are free through June.
